Twenty Players File For Arbitration

Twenty NHL players have elected to take their respective teams to salary arbitration, according to an article on TSN.  Hearings will be held in Toronto from July 20 through August 4.  Teams and players will be able to negotiate a deal between now and July 20.  

The list of players filing for arbitration is: James Wisniewski of the Anaheim Ducks, Colby Armstrong of the Atlanta Thrashers, Matt Hunwick of the Boston Bruins, Clarke MacArthur of the Buffalo Sabres, Tuomo Ruutu of the Carolina Hurricanes, Aaron Johnson of the Chicago Blackhawks, Marc Methot of the Columbus Blue Jackets, Jiri Hudler of the Detroit Red Wings, Denis Grebeshkov of the Edmonton Oilers, Kyle Brodziak of the Minnesota Wild, Tomas Plekanec of the Montreal Canadiens, Nik Zherdev and Ryan Callahan of the New York Rangers, Travis Zajac of the New Jersey Devils, Nate Thompson of the New York Islanders, Nigel Dawes and Daniel Winnik of the Phoenix Coyotes, Matt Smaby of the Tampa Bay Lightning, Kyle Wellwood of the Vancouver Canucks, and Milan Jurcina of the Washington Capitals.
